Endemit von Griechenland (sehr selten auf dem Festland (südliche und östliche Mitte und Peloponnes), häufiger auf Inseln: Ionische Inseln, westliche und östliche Ägäis, Kykladen sowie Kreta mit Kasos und Karpathos)

Phrygana, Ödland, steinige Rasen, Macchia und Zypressenwälder; in Sonne bis Halbschatten auf basischen bis leicht sauren Böden; in 0-1000(1200) m Höhe
